Pernand Vergelesses Premier Cru "En Caradeux"
Description
Pernand-Vergelesses is located on the heights of the Côte de Beaune. It is the "Mountain of Corton" which is also home to the villages of
Aloxe-Corton and Ladoix-Serrigny.
Most of the vines are exposed to the rising sun at an altitude of 250-300 meters. The clay-limestone and stony soil, which suits Pinot Noir.
The Pernand-Vergelesses appellation presents itself with dark ruby lines with intense purple reflections. The nose opens on strawberries, raspberries and violets as well. Older, the wine draws on the undergrowth, the spices. The palate is fine with well-integrated tannins. Fleshy and full-bodied, its fat gives it all the harmony it needs.
It goes perfectly with meats with relatively strong flavors such as roast or braised veal, lamb, game birds and grilled pork. On the cheese board: Mont d´or, Vacherin, Tomme de Savoie.
